how long do u wait after an Ectopic ?

I had an ectopic on the 8th of november .. i had my right tube removed .. but i was wondering how long do i have to wait before i can try again ? i was wondering if jan was to soon ???

i had an ectopic on Oct 25th. the dr. told me to at least wait till after your first period. she would prefer about three months, but she knew we wanted to try again as soon as possible. it took us three years to get pregnant with this one. my tube was also removed.  she said it is safest to wait till the three month mark, because sometimes if it is too soon, your chance of a miscarriage is higher. but since it took us so long before then we have her approval to start right away. your first period should be in about 6-8 weeks after the surgery. i still haven't got mine, maybe within a couple of weeks. then we can try again. good luck to you, and i am sorry for your loss. let us know when you get prego again.

I am currently having my first period ... i have my op on the 8th of november and today is the 28th of november ( i think) and i am bleeding and have been for 3 days ? is that normal to get it so soon ???

I also had and ectopic but the thing is I don't know if I'm pregnant again and its been 3 weeks now. The last time I check my blood level it was below 3 (and that was november 8,2010) so that let me know that I wasn't pregnant anymore and on the 15 of november I actually found out from my doc. And that day I found out from my doc was the same day my husband had sex and meny days after that so. I didn't  know every thing if I'm might be pregnant now or was!
