how many had spotting around 5 weeks and had a successful pregnancy?

just wondering how many of you had light spotting in early pregnancy, like 5 weeks, and still went on to have a successful pregnancy. anyone else have cramping with the spotting?

I had some lite spotting early on at about 4-5weeks. spotting is very normal in early pregnancy!! Oh yea, Im 35weeks today!

i had spotting between 4-5 weeks also.  it was brownish spotting that i noticed when i wiped and only lasted a day.  i am 30 weeks pregnant with a healthy little girl.

oh, i also had mild menstrual-like cramping on and off for the first 11 weeks or so.  there are a lot of weird, yet normal sensations that go on, particularly that first trimester...

thanks for your responses...i just got my BFP Monday and am kind freaking out about the cramping and spotting. I know it can be totally normal, but also can go the other way too. I am convincing myself everything will be fine...its my 1st baby. my lower back is very achey (achy) too...is that normal? the spotting has been going on for 2 days, so I hope it stops soon...at least for my owm peace of mind until my appt july 8th.

my low back was achey (achy) early pregnancy also...i think because all of the ligaments are stretching causing dull backpain.  

is your spotting light without clots?  what color is it?  i'd call your doctor to ease your mind and be on the safe side.  you are right, it can go either way.  many women experience it and are fine.  but, some aren't.  let us know what happens!

I also had brown spotting at around 6 weeks and only when I wiped and it only lasted for one whole day. I am going to be 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow.

well it was light pinkish yesterday and today, then tonight i noticed a very small clot, like the size of sunflower seed, but the cramping hasnt been as noticable today either. its like a mix of light brown and pink now so who knows whats going on. i called the doc earlier and the nurse told me it could be implantation. the only thing is i got my bfp monday, so why would i be getting the implantation now? i dont know. my bfp's were all very faint monday and tuesday, so its very early. i just hate having to wait it out. i have insurance, but its still a $0 co-pay to go to the ER. the nurse told me my doc wont do a blood test unless the spotting continues and my appt isnt until the 8th:( i would feel so much better if i just knew my hcg levels!

i just had another thought...what is the difference between passing clots versus tissue? i was reading online and i saw clots or tissue. is there a way to tell the difference?

Hi ..i have been spotting since i was 4 weeks and 4 days i guess ...mostly brown discharge all the time.. it never goes away and i also had real red spotting 3 times but it went away right away...one time i passed a small clot and that’s when i was 6 weeks still the baby was fine ...they can't tell you what's causing it but they can tell you if your baby is fine or not ....the first time i had the red spotting i was 5w4days and they did a transvaginal ultrasound and we saw the baby, the yolk sac and the heartbeat which just started then and the baby measured 5w6days..i still have the brown discharge all the time and occasional red spotting which disappears right away...and the doctor told me not to worry as long as the heartbeat was detected the miscarriage chances drop to less than 5%...i hope this helped you ...don’t freak out everything will be fine ..

i had brown blood that turned reddish at 5-7 weeks i went to the ER at 7 weeks and my baby was fine im 34 weeks today

I have been spotting since the 25th. It's like a pinkish/brownish color, and only when I wipe. Sometimes not at all. AF is not due till July 1st. And I have had sum symtpoms. Fatigue, breasts sore, and peeing all the time. I just not sure what this spotting can be. Is it too early to test? I don't want to test to early and see a BFN, and get depressed. I am looking forward to having another baby. I started having some weird feelings in my stomach. It's not cramping feelings. I just want to know if this spotting is my AF coming or implantation bleeding. Oh, when I get my AF it's usually very heavy until day 5 or 6 then day 7 ends. And my cycle is 29/30. If anyone would could help it would be appreciated. Thanx. Baby dust to all. :)

You should have your HCG levels tested.  That way you can see them rising and can feel better about it!

when my doctor told me it could be implantion, she meant leftover from implantation...some old brown blood that was coming out after the date.  i had only faint positives also...  but i only took 3 tests...didn't keep taking them...each test was a little darker, but they were still awfully faint.  

are you still spotting?

i ended up miscarrying friday. i passed a lot of clots and had bad cramping. now it seems to be done. i am still waiting for my blood test results from friday and today. its hard waiting...thanks for your responses!
