how to concentrate my urine...

by mamafessler, Dec 10, 2007 05:48AM
I am a couples days past due, I have a 22-25 day cycle usually.  The lastest I could be due is tomorrow which is 28 days and the longest I usually go.  I have been having many signs of pregnancy, but took 2 tests and BFN.  My problem is I cant hold my bladder for longer than 2 hours...even at night.  I was wondering, I know this is a stupid question, is there a way to either concentrate my urine more, or hold my bladder longer.  I am very frustrated, and nauseas...lol, and kinda have a feeling the reason I get a BFN is b/c it is early and my urine is diluted.  My OB/GYN said if i get a negative today she can get me in for a blood test next week.  NEXT WEEK?!!  I am tired of waiting.

it's not the best thing for you, but don't drink as much water for the time before you're wanting to test, that way it's not so diluted. i don't know that this would help much, but good luck to you!!

I have been drinking alot less, I usually drink 64oz of water a day and ive dropped to 8oz and a cup of coffee in the am.  I sip tea throughout the day just so I dont get dehydrated.  (diet tea)  I am wondering if the frequent peeing is b/c of my diabetes, but my blood sugars have been pretty decent.  Oh the frustration.  I am at 45 minutes since last pee...if i can make it 3 more hours....

tea and coffee (and fizzy drinks) make you go to the toilet more and will make you more dehydrated so dont use tea for that try sticking to water for a few days to see if that makes a differance

You know the First Response Early Result says "You can use the FIRST RESPONSE® Early Result Pregnancy Test any time of the day. You do not have to use the first morning urine."  Maybe you could try that test if you don't want to wait?

Just for reference, once you are 4-5 weeks pregnant, typically you should get positives at all times of day. I remember when I was 6 weeks I took a test in the morning with FMU and then an hour later I took a digital and it was positive too.

i think everybody is different i know people who did not get a positive untill 8 weeks i used first responce just before my periog and got a negitive my 1st pregancy showed up a lot darker than my 2nd and 3rd i had put on a lot of weight if that made a difference to the hormone concentration in my body also i 'm breastfeding so the prolactin stops it showing up so much
