I am 27 yrs old. I had an abortion when I was 24 yr old. After that we were using the pullout method for Birth control. And this yr we wanted to have a baby and started planning for that. first time when I was pregnant it just came with one time sex. This time me and my husband are doing sex everyday but did not work out. Its been 3 months. I know that is not too long but just wanted to know is there a possibility that not getting preg after an abortion? And do we need to go for intercourse only in certain days? I am sure we had the intercourse when I ovulate. I have a doctor appt on Dec 13th but wanted to check first. I have been reading the forms and found in of the sites that we should not do sex everyday and if u do the sperm will be diluted or something, is that true?Also sincewhen we started intercourse everyday i see some vaginal discharge (combination of brown and white) every day until i get my periods. Why is that? Also that is smelly. And after the intercourse even though I lay down for 6 or 7 hrs i feel like the sperm not going inside. After I wipeout with the towel I see some white thing. Is that normal? sorry for so many questions. Thanks for your time

yes it is possible to get pregnant after an abortion, having sex everyday can kill your husband sperm count. when you wipe the white thing you see is the sperm. you cant ask your doctor to do a tube test to make sure that everything is good with you and your tubes dident get rupture or damage while you had the abortion also have your husband do a sperm count. and then take it from their

There is a possibilty of being sterile or infertile after an abortion. Please check out this website www.hopeafterabortion.com to talk with people in your shoes and help you. Also, having sex everyday is actually not good for trying to conceive. Just try having sex around your ovulation time so the sperm has time to develop and be "strong and viable". It is possible that having too much sex depletes how much sperm your husband has the next time around because the testes have to have time to create more. The white stuff you see when you wipe isn't sperm. It's mucous from a different organ of DH (that's NORMAL). Laying down for hours after sex does not help you become pregnant either. STRESSing about trying to get pregnant doesn't help either. Just relax and have FUN trying to make a baby. GOOD LUCK!

Let me emphasis, the white stuff is not sperm. It is mucous from the man's spleen or some such organ (I can't remember exactly which one). It is a misconception to think that is sperm. GOOD infertility docs won't let you get tests until you've tried having a baby on your own for at least 12 months.

thank you so much for the answers. My period started on Nov 15th so now I am on day16. we had sex on this whole week from monday to thursday. Usually my cycles are like 26,28 sometime 30. So  I thought doing intercourse until 2nd. Is it OK to go for intercourse everryday until 2/ 3rd or do I need to go every other day?
