heheh I asked the same question as was told no. However, if you cannot keep it down tell your ob, they will start you on ones without iron in them. That helped and I am able to keep down the vitamins now.

i can keep them down, i just so happened to get sick right afterwards this morning.  i should not have taken them when i felt a little queezy but i was not paying much attention.  I will wait til tomorrow to take my next dosage.

i think after meds have been in your body for 10 mins most of them are absorbed.  I forgot to take mine often when I was pregnant with my son and he was 9lb 4.8 oz and is now a very healthy almost 4 year old who is VERY smart.  I wouldn't stress about it too much.

You can try the Flinstone chewables but ask your doc...I could never keep mine down.

It is *very very* important to take your prenatals. It's actually a good idea for women to start taking them, or some sort of multi vitamin, when they are teens. If you're having trouble keeping your prenatal pill down, try taking it right after a meal, or at a different time of day. My first pregnancy, it made me throw up if I took it on an empty stomache, and even then it made me a bit queezy. So, I took it with supper, if I ate kinda late, or had a little bedtime snack and took it then. That way if you start feeling crummy you can hit the hay, and hopefully that will help. It is my opinion, and gathered from plenty of research, that it's not smart to just not take your prenatals. Hope you can find a way to get it to work with your body! Good luck.

Vitamins are important if you can keep them down. At least try to take them. My sis took Flintstones! Anyway, the answer is no, you cannot take another vitamin. You may absorb too much iron and become very constipated. And there is another reason I cannot think of at the moment because DH keeps bugging me. LOL! Sorry!

i usually always keep them down, for some reason yesterday was the first time that i had some morning sickness around the time i took them.  I was just wondering if for that day if i should have taken another.  I take my prenatals everyday along with expecta, which is a pregnancy omega 3.  i try really hard to be healthy.
