i really never look at the brands, i dont think it matters as long as its a prenatal vitamin, they are all made specifically for pregnant women and women who are to become pregnant, like Irish741 says. i have a bottle that says healthy accents on it? but they all are prenatals. now when you get to the doctor is when they may decide if you need a specific kind with more of this or that...and exiting little perks like stool softener LOL
Yeah, I dont think the brand matters. I am taking a store brand. There are others on the shelf that are more expensive, but I don't think they do anything different. My friend bought a hugh bottle at Costco and now she has a butiful healthy boy....just take a prenatal and take care of yourself and everything will happen as it should.
First I'd like to welcome you to Medhelp. We have some wonderful ladies on here who are willing to help and answer any questions you may have.
As for vitamins, I would recommend going to Walmart or any other drug store and buying some PRENATAL vitamins until your first OB visit where you can discuss it with your doctor. I don't think the centrum vitamins would HARM anything, but the prenatals have folic acid and other things geared specifically towards a pregnant womans needs and the fetus' needs. They are rather cheap and one bottle can last quite some time. They have several different kinds so it may get confusing but any of them would be fine.
Best of luck and congrats on your pregnancy!
