i was taking birth control pills for 7 years then i got off for a year. i just started them again a month ago, 1 week before my pills in the middle i had unprotected sex. then i had like a 3 day light period about 4 days laters. i am on the 2 row of pills in a new pack and i have been have servre tendernous to my breast, lower back pain that i have never had. my nipples are very sore. but i am not nausous. i was very bloated last week. is it just the pills or am i pregnant?

I could be either. Best thing to do is wait until your period is due and take a test. But starting birth control can always cause you to get weird symptoms or even late periods.
