measuring smaller in future pregnancies

I have a 2 yr.old and I measured small with him he stopped growing for a couple weeks then he was fine started growing and was 7.7 3/4 lbs i'm now due feb. 11,2009 but since i was 33 weeks i've been measuring smaller usually two weeks but now I just went in on wed. when i'm supposed to be 37 weeks and i went from two weeks smaller to now being 38 weeks and only measuring 33 how is it that i measured smaller this week than last? the fluid level? well my 5th ultrasound is tuesday.we'll see
