So I am 5 weeks and 3 days, and I don't have any morning sickness. I have read before actually the more morning sickness you have the better your chances of not miscarrying. Has anyone heard this? Can there be something wrong? I do get a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys naseous but thats about it. I have other normalNormal saline flush symptoms but I still worry Thanks
My morning sickness didn't start until 6-7 weeks. I was worried about it too. But believe me, when it started, it came full force. Also, some lucky womenWomen's way don't get morning sickness at all. So I wouldn't worry, I'm sure everything's fine! :)
When I was pregnant with my son I was told that I was going to have a miscarraige at 5 weeks. I started getting sick (horribly sick!!!) at 6 weeks and I was told that is a great sign that the pregnancy is going to be fine. He is two now and I ended up losing 11 pounds with him. I got sick this time closer to 7 weeks and lost 9 pounds. I am now 24 weeks and just within the last month stopped throwing up. So..
I would say from what I have been told that being sick is a sign that you are pregnant and less likely to miscarraige, but like others have said - not everyone gets sick. You may just be one of the lucky ones to NOT get sick. OR you may not be to that point yet. Have you had an ultrasound to see a heartbeatHeart palpitations Ultrasound, normal fetus - heartbeat Ultrasound, ventricular septal defect - heartbeat yet? Once you have that then your risk of miscarraige goes down drastically too. Good luck!
I too don't start getting sick until I am 6-7 weeks. But when it comes, boy does it come!!! But as many others have said, there are the lucky ones that don't get sick at all and go on to have very healthy pregnancies.
Consider yourself lucky! I worried SOO much that I wasn't sick in the beginning; then at 6 weeks I got slammed with "morning" sickness that lasted all day and night. I was eventually diagnosed with hyperemesisHyperemesis gravidarum gravidarum (severe nausea/vomiting) and was hositalized several times, and ended up losing 15 pounds. The good news is, we are expecting a very healthy baby boy and I am feeling much better now at 20 weeks.... some more good news, my condition is very rare and your chances of having it are slim. You will probably develop normal morning sickness within the next couple weeks, so in the meantime EAT UP!! Enjoy the quiet before the storm. ;) My wish for you is that you're one of the few who have no morning sickness and go on to have a healthy pregnancy!! Best wishes. :)
My OB-GYN told me that women don't usually get morning sickness until around 6 weeks due to the rise and amount of hcg/hormones from pregnancy. Some women never get morning sickness during pregnancy. I don't think the amount of morning sickness you have has anything to do with miscarriage. I don't think women would have morning sickness if they have an early miscarriage because hormone levels wouldn't be high enough to cause nausea.
My morning sickness started at about 6 weeks, then at 8 weeks it hit full on. To this day, 21weeks I still have it! give it time and if you don't get it count yourself as blessed.
