panic attacks puking and grrrrr i need advice please!!!

by shadowserpent, Apr 30, 2008 03:30PM
I have a panic disorder called aggoraphobia, it causes me to have panic attacks around people and places that arent home, and sometimes if im not feeling good or safe even at home, well since ive gotten pregnant i had to lower my dosage of klonpon to .5 mgs a day and gotten completly off of my prozac.
Im 20 weeks in a few days and my panic is progressivley getting way worse by the day and the morning sickness i have is so bad that even the nasuea pills im on dont seem to help mcuh. Also because of the prenatal pills i think i go through periods of contipation and diareaa and that makes me feel bad which makes me panic! so im a big jumble of nerves.
Then add on top of that impending dentists visits, being forced to live with my insane brain injured know it all mil......
having to look for a better place to live because my breakers blow nonstop and the heater is broken.
anyone have any tips on calming down on any of these issues? i need help, and now that summers about here, well certain things make panic worse, and one of them is heat!
i feel overwhelmed and theres been so many times in the last 2 weeks ive been somewhere like walmart and started panicking and had to leave and make the person with me leave i feel so crappy and so much like a bad friend because they have to deal with me being basicly broken!
gah!

aww sweetie I wish i could take it all away.  Over the past year I have been getting panic attacks, and I tell ya, I really feel for you.  The few times I have had them I have had to go outside and sit on our bench swing and just breathe....the fresh air really seemed to help.

hey there. i can sooo relate! i have been diagnosed w/ GAD and panic disorder :(  it started w. me when i was 22 and on my 3rd pregnancy. it is soo scary. i never really had the agoraphobia, but a few yrs ago after the birth of my son, it felt like i was getting agoraphic, which in turn, made me panic more!  ugg!  but i pulled through that, but i do notice my aniety and panic is alot worse when i am preggos. i guess all the hormones and **** going whacky on us :/  my whole last preg. i didnt really get to enjoy, b/c i was worrying about delivery, if i was gonna die, if the baby was gonna be okay, etc...

i was on paxil until i found i was preggo in oct (i m/c'ed) and i had horrible w/d side effects, so i just never went back on it. but i do believe there is something you can take for this while youre preggo, but can tremember what it is:/  maybe ask your doc. i hope everything works out and if you ever need to talk, im usually on here. :)  take care
