your hcg level is going up which is good if you were going to have a miscarriage the levels would have gone down. although i think its a bit low for 6 weeks but some womenWomen's way hcg level progress slower than some. have you had an ultrasound done as yet?
thanks csm201, they did an ultrasound 2 weeks back and did not c anything, they will do another one tomorrow morning. but since my progestrone level low (i have no clue what it means), the nurse said it might be a miscarriage. this is my 1st pregnancy so i am very confused, tensed and upset.
this is my first pregnancy as well but from what i have read when its going to turn out in a miscarriage the hcg levels goes down and in this case your is going up. did they take a transvaginal ultrasound or just a regular one.
Your Hcg levels are very low for 6 weeks im not trying to scare you but as follows aer the normal hcg levels. When I got my hcg test done at 4 weeks my hcg was 705. Best of luck and lots of baby dust
glad to hear ur pregnancy going on fine. 2 weeks back it was transvaginal, i am not sure what will happen tomorrow morning. right now very stressed out...i guess it will be a miscarriage b'cos i was checking the other forums, girls have more than 10,000 hcg in 6th week... and mine is so low. u take care.
thanks Linzola, i know it is very low..thats why i am scared. tomorrow the dr will do an ultrasono so will probably find out. tonight will be a sleepless night.
am thinking that you are 4 weeks and not 6 when you did the ultrasound did it measured at 4 weeks or are you counting from the last day of your first period either way dont worry everything is going to be ok keep me posted when you come from the doctor tomorrow
good luck
well that explains alot you are not 6 weeks pregnant as their could be no way you are that far along my last period was oct 1 and i am 6 weeks. no reason why they did not see any thing my guess is that you are 4-5 weeks pregnant dont worry everything will be fine
keep me posted
i have got to agree i also think that you are not as far along as you may seem and most babies are not really visible at that stage on scans...keep positive thoughts dear, and all will be fine hcg is going up thats great...all the best and hope your mind is put at rest soon.. just T
thanks to all my friends in this forum who gave me assuring words...i was counting from the first day of my last period which was Oct 17 (the day my period started) so i was counting accordingly...i hope tonight passes fast!!!! tomorrow once i come back from the dr, will give you all an update. the problem is my progesterone level is also low, just 3.3. so since both r low, i am worried about miscarriage but no bleeding so far, only yellow discharges. take care and good luck with everything whatever you all do. and keep telling me good words, it feels good:)
Yeah that does sound very low for 6 weeks. Mine was 660 and then more than doubled 2 days later to 1665 at 3 weeks. However, YOURS did double which is a good sign. You could fall under the category of pregnant women who have low rising HCG. My doctor told me it's not uncommon for women to have slow rising HCG and have perfectly normal pregnancies and healthy babies. The progesterone issue can be fixed with prometrium (progesterone)suppositories. It can be perscribed when a women's progesterone is low. Try and relax and be sure to keep us posted.
I hope everything will turn out well tomorrow...but I have to say, I'm more worried about your low progesterone level than your HCG levels. Normally, a progesterone level under 12 means the pregnancy is non-viable. But I have heard that progesterone levels can vary greatly depending on the time of the day it is tested, so maybe it was just caught at a low. I really hope so!!!
The thing about progesterone is that you NEED it to have a baby. So hopefully they'll give you progesterone supplementation to help you along. I'm definitely more worried about the progesterone than HCG. You want HCG to keep climbing (usually doubles every 24-48 hours). Progesterone should be around 11-12.
