pregnant and have fever chills

by sickmama, Jan 24, 2008 07:36PM
Hi Doc,

I'm pregnant and have been having feverlike chills.  I went to two different doctors and one prescribed me penicillin and the other prescribed me fluconazole (1-tablet)for my yeast infection.  My question is which one is safer to take during pregnacy.  I don't want to harm my baby.  The fluconazole saids that there are risks and benefits why pregnant and taking the med.  The penicillin saids not to take while breast feeding.  Please help as I'm feeling very sick with chills and weak.  By the way I'm in my first trimester.

Thank you
concerned mother.

There are not Dr.'s in this forum.  Were either prescribed by your OB?
