severe shoulder pain

I am 6 weeks along as of today.  My left shoulder has been killing me for the last 2 weeks.  When I pick things up or move it in just the right way it feels really bad right in the joint.  Is this anything related to the baby or am I just being paranoid? I have my 1st apt on the 28th and I'll be sure to ask the DR about it but just wondering if I am paranoid or if its nothing motley related at all.  Thanks.

MAJOR shoulder pain on the left side is a sign of  internal bleeding .... its the first sign they look for in an ectopic i dont want to scare u but i would certainly get that checked ASAP . let us know how u go ...

I have also heard that it is a major indicator of an Ectopic pregnancy.

call the doctor NOW!  It could be nothing but it could be very serious to your health.  I am a major advicator for not scaring people but this is one case where it is necessary to get checked out now!

I would recommend calling your doctor as well. Especially since you haven't had your first appointment yet. It could be nothing but as the other women stated, it could be something serious as well. You don't want to take that chance. Hopefully it is nothing but either way, keep us posted please. You are in my prayers.

I agree, I had severe shoulder and arm pain, like really bad growing pains for 2 days before I Miscarried. It was a sign of internal bleeding. Just get checked out to make sure you are alright.

how can you tell... my left shoulder blade hurt like I have a knot but Im not in pain---no problem lifting and pulling stuff.  Is my related to ectopic pregnancy?  I know that I sleep on my left side alot and I've been crocheting a blanklet, I really think that it's from doing too much crocheting.  INSIGHTS?

i have never had an ectopic pregnancy, however i have heard it is severe pain.

I was thinking the same thing.  My mom after she had her hysetrectomy had some severe shoulder pain and only thought to mention it to the nurses in passing.  They went into emergency surgery and she had internal bleeding.  GO GET CHECKED!
