Yes, you should. Breastfeeding is not selfish in anyway, it is the best thing you can do for your baby. You cant change the fact that you didn't nurse you other children and it doesn't mean that you cant nurse this one. Go for it and enjoy the incredible bonding experience that is, breastfeeding.

Even if your mom doesn't like it, it's not her child nor her option so it shouldn't matter.  I'd say do it.  I've breastfed both mine and plan to on this one as well.  It's a lot cheaper then buying formula!!!  So if it's what you wish, DO IT!  :)

I really cant tell you what you should do. But as a mother that has done and experienced this, I DEFINATELY think you should at least give it a try. I considered it one of the most memorable, wonderful, enriching experiences of my life. There is NO ONE on this planet that can give your child what you can in this sense. And there is NO ONE, not your mother, aunt, boyfriend/husband, nurse, doctor that can change your mind, take that from you, or say you can't or shouldn't.

I looked up a site you might be interested in

Its completely neutral in the way you should decide on this issue. Give is a read. Good luck.

thank you everyone i am so grateful that use are telling me to do it my partner says i should do what i think is best but everyone else is telling me what the point i never did it with my other 2 kids but i feel im missing out on something and i dont want to regret not breast feeding at least one of my kids i would have breast fed my daughter when she was born but my mum kept saying i think your daft if your thinking of breast feeding so she nagged me so much when my daughter was born i used formula and i feel if i tell her i want to breast feed this baby she will do the same thing and then put my off it SO am not telling her lol im just going to wait till the baby is born and then tell her i am so grateful to everyone it is the first time i have every been told go for it breast feed so im going to do it no matter what anyone has to say about it. problem is i haven't got a clue what to do lol thank you again everyone x

This is your life and you have to be happy with the decisions you make.  Besides any health reason, you need to be fulfilled in your life and if that means trying breastfeeding, go for it!  Dont sell yourself short because of what others think!
