sore throat and cough during pregnancy

by ishumom13, Nov 11, 2008 10:03AM
Hi, I am 26 week pregnant. From one week I have sore throat and sometimes coughing. I have no sign of fever and runny nose. Last week I saw the doctor who suspected the viral infection, besides I was also taking antibiotic (NOVAMOXIN) for UTI so I think if I had any bacterial infection it could be treated as well. I still have the same symptoms in throat which is getting severe and now I hate to see doctors again. I dont know what should I do now as I am fed up.
Thanks

Oh no! I'm so sorry you're sick. I think something is going around because my SIL and her family have all gotten sick with sore throats (she is also pregnant).

Drink hot tea, if you have a humidifier or Vicks that may help. Eat chicken broth and popsicles. Stay away from spicy foods.

I don't know what else to offer for advice but I do hope you feel better!
