spotting after sex and had period already

I had my period on april 22 and on may 1 my husband and i had sex and a little while after wards i notice when i went to the bathroom that i had some spotting on my underwear i thought it was nothing to be worried about so when it happened again the following day i was on the phone calling my friends and family still no answers. so what can cause the spotting after sex? i would really like to know its never happened to me before..

Any irritation of the cervix can cause spotting. If you have never had this before, I would go to the doctor to make sure you don't have an infection that is making your cervix more sensitive.
