by catlady171, Dec 16, 2007 05:38PM
i had a miscarriage at about 5 weeks, i lost all pregnancy symptoms with in 3 days and my hcg levels where back to normal . 2 weeks later, i had very bad cramps for a few hours and for the next three days i have on and off very mild cramps, my breasts are swollen and tender, i have back ache and nausea... my body had already returned to normal with no aymptoms of pregnancy. whats going on?

It could be that you are pregnant again or it could be a sign of your coming cycle.

normally, i dont have those symptoms before a period. but if i was pregnant again wouldnt it be too early to be showing any symptoms?

How long ago was the miscarriage?

Then its possible to be pregnant again. I've heard of people getting pregnant 2 weeks after... which means if you did concieve you would probably be starting to have symptoms but not a positive. Wait a week and test! :)

the first time i had sex since the miscarriage was only a week ago... but in my last two pregnancys i started symptoms right after concieving, my doctors told me it was impossable both times, that i would have no symptoms yet. but that just seems to be how my body works. had i not just had the miscarriage, i would naturally assume i was, but it just makes me wonder if its my hormones going back to normal or something else...

Have you had your levels checked to make sure they returned to 0?

by catlady171, Dec 16, 2007 06:19PM
my levels werent very high to begin with and they dropped right away. everything went back to normal right away.

You could be pregnant again. Your best bet is to take a preg. test in a week. Based on the information you just provided, you could very well be pregnant. Or your cycle is just messed up from the m/c. I had a m/c and my cycles are all over the place and strange.

The only way to know for sure is to take a test.

well, i know that your period might not come right away after a m/c. and with the last pregnancy, i swore i was pregnant for a whole month before i got a posative cuz of my symptoms. i even went to the dr. and had them draw blood which came back neg. but still i knew i was preg. and two weeks later i got a posative hpt. all my symptoms where very early and very noticable, there was no guessing about it. but i wasnt trying to get preg. but we also didnt use protection. he did pull out, but after i did the math, im pretty sure it was at a point that i was ovulating, if i know my body... chances would be slim to none, right. i just hate playing the waiting game.

thanks!! as i said, i wasnt trying to get pregnant but i also am not being to awful careful about it either. but i wonder, if i am pregnant again so soon after m/c, would that make it possable for me to show symptoms earlier again...
its so awful nice to talk to people who understand.
