trust the dr?

my last period was sept 20. i am about 18 days late. ive taken 4 hpts and all were negative. i went for a blood test tuesday and they gave me a urine test instead, said it was negative and that a blood test wouldnt be any more accurate since im so late. i still havent started my period! i am pretty stressed out. i dont want to drink any alcohol since i havent started but the dr said i wasnt pregnant.... so i should be able to w/out any concerns....

this has never happened to me before but i have heard of it happening. im with you i wouldnt want to trust a doctor. when i was pregnant with my first i just knew that i was pregnant i didnt need a doctor to tell me that i was. the only advise that i can give you is to wait it out another month trust me i knwo if you love to drink this sucks but think of the positive side its for the baby if you are. Hope you are if you wanna and hope that something gives you rest soon i know how the waiting process can be and i feel for you having to wait this long.

This happened to me when I was pregnant with my daughter. My period was late 22 days. I had taken two pregnancy tests and they both came out negative. I went to the doctor and he wouldn't do a pregnancy test because my periods were to irregular. So he sent me home. Finally when I had missed my third period I went to the store got a pregnancy test and it came out positive. Come to find out I had low horomones and the tests wouldn't pick them up. Hope this helps. i say dont always trust the dr. i knew i was pregnant and i had missed my period and felt really odd. so i went to a "free pregnancy testing clinic" and the test came out neg. but STILL I KNEW I WAS PREGO for some odd reason so i went and bought 2 home preg. tests and they both said pos. so i went and bought 2 more of another kind to make sure. and still said pos. so i decided to go back to the same clinic and asked them for another one..AGAIN the test came out neg! i was so confused by this time. cause i though the dr's test should be more accurate then the home test..so again i went and bought 2 other brands of home preg. test. yepp those came out POS! lol so i went to another clinic and the test came out pos. by that time i think i was about 6 or 7 weeks prego.

thank yall so much. im going crazy not knowing. i called my dr today and left a message for her to call me back. (the dr i saw the other day wasnt mine. some old man) if i talk to her i would feel better and she would have done a blood test. im gonna go to the health department mon if i havent started by then. that dr just didnt seem concerned that i was so late. he said well its neg so bye. he said if i havent started in 2 wks he will just gove me something to make me start. but i dont want to do that in case i really am pregnant.

i took another hpt yesterday at 19 days late. it was negative.
