ttc... does ky really kill sperm?

Hello, I just read something about ky jelly killing sperm? is that true?  Dh and I have just decided to start ttc again this month aftera mc in dec and I tend to be dry (sorry tmi) we use ky reg. is that bad? Does anyone have any suggestions of what we can use instead?

I've been TTC since Sept so I've been all over the place on the web trying to get tips and one of the things that I do see is that KY does kill sperm. But on one of the pages it offered another kind that didnt. Just google it and you should be able to find it.....Hope this helps!

Get some PreSeed....it's sperm friendly and i find works jus as well as KY......they have it on line...I ordered mine from Amazon.com....a little pricey, but if you need it and are TTC, i guess it's worth it!  good luck!

When dh and I were ttc we used KY as I tend to get dry myself and I still got pregnant.  I guess it just depends.  You could google it and check it out or get some PreSeed like KellyA74 said as I here it's sperm friendly.

We used PreSeed when we ttc.  But once we started seeing a fertility dr. because we couldn't get pregnant, he recommended using plain mineral oil.  He said this works better than anything.

Pre Seed is the only sperm friendly lubricant that I know of on the market. It worked well for my husband and I. Although I have also heard the thing about the mineral oil working well too.

KY has been shown in studies to kill sperm and slow down their mobility.

  It's not a good idea to use lubricants bc most lubricants and saliva kills sperm.
