12 week nuchal scan

Hi ladies! I'm 11 weeks and 1 day along and I'm booked in for my scan on the 4th. Feeling a bit nervous about it! My doctor has given me every scary statistic there is in pregnancy lol
Is anyone else due for it soon or had it?

I just had mine on Thursday. I'm 13 weeks today. It was no biggie... Just an ultrasound and then they drew a vial of blood. In the ultrasound they look at the anatomy of the baby and then measure the spinal fluid on the back of the baby's neck. My baby was not cooperating, so the ultrasound took an hour while they tried to prod baby into position. Based on the thickness of the spinal fluid, they said preliminary results look good but I'll get full results next week. Can't wait--we're announcing as soon as results come back good. They did say for this test that neg result is highly accurate but they get false positives... So if it comes back abnormal don't panic. There's another blood test that pulls the baby's DNA from moms blood...

Hi there. I am due to have mine on Sept 11 and I am scared ********, haha. I have read all about it though and from what I gather it is the ultrasound and a blood test (finger prick) that is put into a formula with your age and maybe a few other factors to determine the likelihood of downs and trisomy 13 and 18.
