33 weeks & yeast infection

hello; wondering if some of you ladies can help me with a concern I have; I had a dr. appt on Tuesday because I been feeling uncomfortable and Wednesday they called to tell me that I had a yeast infection that's common to happen when your pregnant; I was told by my dr to get monistat; I purchased the 3 day treatment and it came with the cream to place on the skin where it's itchy; but my huge concern was will this treatment affect my unborn baby ? Im 33 weeks today and dr said it won't but I'm still so worried; has anyone else try to use this before while pregnant? Im so nervous =(

I'm 31 weeks and just got over a yeast infection, my doctor prescribes me monistat 7 which you put internally and externally, he said monistat is the safest one to use when pregnant

No it should not hurt the baby... especially if its only the external cream. I had 2 yeasts infections while pregnant (I'm 32 weeks at the moment) and I had to use an internal cream both times. Don't worry baby should be fine :) its also only 3 days... plus that it is something terribly uncomfortable to deal with and can last a while if untreated so I believe having the infection for a long period of time would do more harm to the baby than using the medication.
