34weeks pelvic pain

My wife is 34 weeks and is suddenly having vaginal pain and she feels like she may be dialating. Any tips that could alleviate the pain?

Yes she went to the pool yesterday and she said walking in the water really helped. So thankfully she's doing better now. Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it. Will keep updating.

The vaginal pain dosent mean shes contracting its the weight of the baby moving down and getting ready so the pressure down there hurts now if she was contracting she will feel the belly getting tighter and tighter until the contraction is gone if they are braxton hicks by her moving around it will go away and the timing is allover the place they can come every 10 minutes then jump up to every 20 minutes the real contractions will get stronger and closer and walking and showering wont make them go away she needs to rest as much as she can now and try to walk to help her labor be much easier good luck and congratulations

If its her bone, there'd nothing you can do about that. But if it's her skin/muscles, they are stretching, contracting causing her to dialate and thin out. Does it feel like electric shock waves? Lol

Ok thanks a lot will definitely try those things. More than anything its just making her really uncomfortable. I'm thinking they might be those braxton Hicks contractions. But will keep you posted. Thanks again.

I'm a week ahead and going through the same thing. Take a warm bath. Massage helps a bit as well. If the pain gets to a point where she cant take it anymore, go ahead and call in to L&D or your oncall doc to find out the next step they would like you to do. More than likely at that point they will want you guys in so they can monitor her and the baby. Keep us posted!
