Advice?

Hello all. I'm 29 and pregnant with my first baby. I'm only 5 weeks along and am constantly worried about miscarrying. There's no basis to this, it's just something I could never live with. I go to the bathroom constantly to make sure I'm not bleeding. Please any advice is appreciated.

The stress is hard on the baby, so if you can find something else to focus on when those thoughts creep in, it will be beneficial to your little one. Whenever you start to worry, replace it with the image of you holding your perfect baby and breathe deeply. It will rid those stress hormones and lower your blood pressure.

I have had a miscarriage before so I understand the terror. But you can't let it control you. The stress and worry can only make it worse for you and baby. Just be happy for the tiny little life inside you now, mama. That is the best thing you can do. I'm 29 weeks along now with my first and so happy to be feeling all these kicks. Just hang in there and don't stress.

Just keep living life normally and make sure you snack and sleep when you're tired...I was scared of a miscarriage as well so I just stayed with my normal routine (baby safe of course) and didn't allow myself to plan past my 1st trimester. I was at a high risk for a miscarriage so I made sure to keep my stress level down as well.

I did the exact same for the first 13 weeks of my of my pregnancy. I am now 21 weeks and still find myself checking every now and then. Just make sure you aren't over exerting yourself and be healthy. As you long as you take care of yourself, you are doing everything you can to prevent miscarriage. If one was still to occur then it happens for medical reasons...not your fault.
