Any other high risk mommies to be...

Hi I'm Danielle, this is my fourth pregnancy. My daughter was stillborn 4/25/07 @ 27wks , then my son was stillborn 12/19/08. And my miracle and my life she is now 3 years old. We I became pregnant with her the doc ordered extensive blood work. Results showed anti thrombin 3 and protein s deficiency. My blood in the placenta clotted. They put me on blood thinner shot (Lovenox) as a result I had a healthy pregnancy. I am currently 9 weeks pregnant taking the shots, prenatals, and extra folic. Anyone else high-risk and share your story if you don't mind..

I am 37+4 right now. My doctor is thrilled and shocked that I haven't given birth already. What put my in the high risk category is a fibroid. Thought I had a kidney stone last summer, and it turned out to be a 1 cm fibroid. Got pregnant in October and instead of the fibroid disappearing they way they do for many, progesterone was like fertilizer for it. It is now over 8 cm (larger then a softball). My doctor told me to treat it like a twin...so I named it Phil. One of the side effects of a fibroid is that it can suck all the blood from the placenta to grow bigger which takes away from baby. Lucky my placenta is in back. Because the fibroid is down low and to the left, they fear that it could break my water at any moment. They are going to let me try and go with a natural birth. Her head is now below the fibroid which is good, but if her shoulders. arms, hands, legs, knee, ect hit it just right, it could burst. Now fibroids are full of blood. That means a huge blood loss for me which means I then go into emergency surgery. If baby doesn't burst it, I get to heal from birth and then go in a couple months to have the fibroid removed. I then will have to always have a c section due to having a hole in my uterus.

I am 13 weeks with baby 5. High risk due to 4 c-sections. Our 3rd child passed away at 39 weeks 2 days due to ABS (unseen). I also have a large tumor at the base of my brain. I can not take the meds to control its growth while pregnant. My vision will be the first thing to go should it grow.

This is my 4th pregnancy and I have 1 child who is going to be 3 in July. I have had 2 miscarriages.  One at 12 weeks and the other at 6 weeks. The dr found out that my body doesnt produce enough folic acid. So with the pregnancy with my son and this one I was on high for doses of folic acid plus the 1st trimester I was on progesterone.  The dr also found out that in have an autoimmune deficiency.  So I take a low does baby aspirin most of my pregnancies as well. As of right now im 26 weeks and im showing placenta previa with this one. I have been on vaginal rest my whole pregnancy.  I had bleeding early bleeding in my 1st trimester.  In go for an ultrasound at 27 weeks and if the placenta doesnt shift I will be c section. I havent been put on bed rest and hoping that I will not have to but we will how everything goes

I'm twenty years old and 31weeks+1day with my first baby. Throughout my pregnancy from probably about 16 weeks onward I had cramping and contractions, Dr didn't think anything of it. It only got worse and at 26 weeks I ended up having bad continuous contractions, went to labor and delivery and got a positive FFN, my cervix was 6-7mm long, dilated 1cm. They kept me that night and haven't left yet. In the mean time my cervix has shortened to nothing, thinned to 100% effaced with funneling, and I've had a lot of nothing happen most days, but several days where I've cranked out contractions like crazy going into preterm labor. They've stopped it so far after using magnesium last time it started up again. But they say once I make it 32 weeks, they won't intervene anymore and will let it happen naturally as it would occur on its own whenever it does. Keep your head up, I've realized things could be much worse I'd hate to be in the trendelenburg position I believe that's what its called? In a bed head down at the floor feet toward the air. I'm okay with strict bed rest if I don't have to do that lol. All that matters is that us high riskers have miracle babies who just might take a little extra special attention or treatment :) good luck to you and congrats :)

Im 21 wks with my 2nd and I'm high risk. Have a team of 5 perinatologist I see every other week. My first was born at 26 wks, water broke @ 25+2. He lived 1 day before infection took over and he passed. They aren't 100% sure what caused my pprom, they are calling it a domino effect. I had the premature rupture, a full placental abruption, an infection, and a possible incompetent cervix. So this time, I had a preventative cerclage placed at 13wks and am doing weekly Makena injections. Everything is going well so far, a lot of restrictions physically but no bed rest yet! And we are having another boy and very excited!  We are cautiously optimistic as I'm approaching the 26 wk mark again. (Sorry for typos, on my phone!)

In my first pregnancy they found out at 28 weeks tjat my cervix was very short and starting to shorten. I would get regular contractions which they had to administor drugs to stop them at 30 weeks. I started dialting at 32 weeks and by a miracle kept him in until 37 weeks. I am now due with my second in sept. At 21 weeks i was taken off work due to contraacting and bleeding. I am now 28 weeks and have to go for u/s every 4 weeks. My cervix is starting to shorten again so im praying i.can keep this babe in until im full term again. So thats my story. Ob says i have an incompetent cervix  and a cranky uterus. Good luck to you ladies i wish and pray all the best for you and your babies!

It's so hard being on bed rest and hospitalized when you have your other kids who need you. I'm praying for you.

Hi :) This is baby 5 for me. I have had complications of varying degrees and types with all of mine. I am 22 weeks and on bed rest. I have placenta previa. On top of that my youngest son is only 18 mos. So my cervix isn't fully closed and hasn't been the whole time.
