Are Home Pregnancy Test Accurate?

My period was supposed to come on the 4th of Jan. I am always on time...so I took a hpt on the 16th and it came out positive.  I have been nervous to tell my partner & finally got the courage on the 19th, I just showed him the the test, he looked at it and said so you are not pregnant & I said no it says I am...I looked at it and it wss only 1 line...I have been having symtoms (symptoms)...could I have been wrong??? I am positive that it was positive + when I first took the test...has this happened to anyone before????

I am going to get another 1 and try it...when I took that one it came up positive so quick, I was in shock and just put it in my drawer...I really didn't think I could have anymore children...my youngest is 10yrs old

I went to the clinic this morning and they said I am..I am about 6-7 weeks...I am due Sept.14...my daughter is goin to be soooo excited! Thanks
