Oh my gosh, I LOVE some of those!  Now I have to stop myself from buying them, I'm not showing yet, ha ha.  And I agree, most of those would be acceptable for a baby shower.  You could also throw on a short sleeved cardigan if you didn't wantto go sleeveless.

i think any of the dresses here that are solid or print would be entirely appropriate and look very comfy. the striped ones look a little casual

I saw in the other one it's your in-laws and they are conservative...  In THAT case, you might want to wear a nice sun dress or something.  You are NOT expected to go crazy on the price unless you can afford to and want to, especially if you only plan on wearing that dress once.  Lexus will hopefully get the dress altered for post partum if it was custom made for her because it's probably gorgeous on her, ha ha

Halloween baby shower would be awesome. I just wasn't sure if it was expected of me, I'm a ftm. I am all for comfy casual, but since I want to make an impression I suppose it will be something kind of nice. I was about to get stressed out! :p

The size of the party doesn't determine what I wear.If I have 100+ at mine, I'm still wearing something comfy, ha ha.  Like I posted in the other thread though, it's all personal preference.  I actually want to have a Halloween costume coed baby  shower because why not?

I wore a lace burgundy dress at mine.  Looked nice but simple. Wasn't too comfortable though. ... choose comfort over looks... That's my suggestion

I just read another forum that a woman paid 290 for a designer dress, which is cool if you're into that, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't expected of me or nothin. My boyfriends family is very conservative and proper, and I don't know hardly any of them. I will definitely try to look nice but not designer dress nice!

some people like excuses to wear fancy dresses. i think most people just dress a little bit nicer than usual - but it's your party you can wear what ever you want
