Benifits in the UK

hi just wondering if anyone can help me I have today applied for income support after bring adviced to byy midwives but was wondering does anyone know If il get maternity allowence and income support together? As I now applied for both any help would be great citizens advice where no help either

As far as I know Income support is a top up and income related..you would recieve the full amount if eligible and had no other income..therefore depending on what amount ur maternity allowance is...they may pay some income support.  Make the claim anyway..things have changed a lot in the yeats since I had to claim it.
