Yea, I did the whole pull out and counting method it worked for a while until my cycle changed and here came baby 2!! All blessing but I almost 100% sure I don't want anymore and I have to figure out what bc I could take with the hbp. I don't want to gain anymore weight ..  I am big enough!

I'm still up in the air about it. I had a mirena for 3 yrs, I loved that I never got a period but hated that I gained 50lbs with it. I know the weight was from the mirena as all the weight was right around my uterus. As soon as I took the iud out I dropped 30lbs. It also took me awhile to get pregnant as my hormone level was all out of whack. Since my husband and I decided to wait two yrs to see if we want more kids (otherwise he is getting a vasectomy), I don't want to chance having a difficult time getting pregnant again. I'm leaning towards pills or condoms or maybe just the pull out method (fingers crossed it works).

Since 18, (33 now) I've never been on bc other than condoms.Anything with hormones causes my blood to clot. I even have to be on a anticoagulant injection for my entire pregnancy and for 6 weeks after. So if I do any bc it will have to be a non hormonal.

My papers are signed for the tubal, the doctor explained to me that I will be scheduled 6 weeks from delivery unless I have a c-section then they are able to do the procedure when I am already in delivery. I just need to find something that will work for my body. I got pregnant 7 years ago on the pill then was diagnosed with hbp so taking those isn't an option anymore and the depot just made me blow up like a ballon. I still have time..

my mothers totally against it, and that's why she was 40 and preggers.. not me, I want to be infant free, at least until I'm a g-ma!!

I won't be doing any birth control and that's only cause I have bad side effects to medications so I'm opting out... Depo have me migraines everyday to every other day, gained almost 100lbs, high cholesterol, took 2 years for it to get out of my system, etc... pills have me migraines also... so I'm good...

They have a non-invasive type of procedure for tying the tubes.... im gonna talk about it with my doctor. ... but if I need a c-section... im signing the papers.... I have made it very clear from day 1 with my doctor that I only wanted 2 kids and this was the LAST pregnancy.

It's true, there is an implant for the arm I think they gave it some odd name like Implanon or some such thing.
Personally, I won't be considering that or tube tying because of the procedure, basically I'm horrified of being cut open anywhere for any reason, so I have to wuss out on both of those options lol
I also like the idea of the Morena because even though the potential problems are very serious, it's also a device that's very easy to have removed (provided that all has gone normally).

Thanks for the thoughts ladies. I am sure I am done and I have considered getting my tubes tied. Between myself and my partner will have 6 kids and I think thats more then enough. Of course my doctor questioned the decision and let me know that minds can be changed and life doesn't always go as planned. All my children have a 7 and 8 year gap and at the rate I am going I will be sure to be pregnant in my 40's, my girl friend joke that I have sex like a cicada because if the distance.  Lol!! It something to think about..

There is also an implant you can have put in your arm. Food for thought. The mirena is good I have always used it never had problems conceiving after removal or anything n never had any weight gain which was a bonus to the other hormonal methods. The only issue I had was when I had my first on put in I bled on And off for the first few months. Like I wouldn't bleed all day then every night I would spot or have the equivalent of light to med flow period bleeding. It was weird but once that stopped it was deff my preferred method

Im also trying Mirena... until at least my husband has a vasectomy.... im horrible with pills and I've been on over 20 different kinds... I'm allergic to the patch (caused welts in my skin)... also allergic to the nuvaring (first and only yeast infection ever from that)... and deprovera made me bleed for 3 consecutive months... im allergic to latex so condoms are out and the alternative condoms are like a plastic bag-- no bueno... so unless I can remember to take a pill (which I can't) Mirena is my only option

I dont do north control. I was on the depo shot for a year while my husband and I were dating. We broke up for awhile and I never went back on it b/c it took my body forever to get back on track and I don't like the idea of messing with my body (I'm weird!) Lol. But we only got pregnant when we planned it! Talk about luck! (I pry just jinx myself!)

I'm going to try Mirena. I can never remember pills plus they LST me have my regular period which is just disgusting and painful and a big hassle, plus this pregnancy was conceived while on them, so that's out.
I also hate needles and I'm sore in my hip for days after getting the Depo shot, I got it once in my arm instead and couldn't move my arm for a week.
