Birth control question

I've really never done birth control long term but I know i really need to find something that works for me. My fiance wants to have a baby soon after the little one we have coming in February so I have to pee proactive about family planning lol. I'm nervous that it'll make me gain weight. I'm thinking I'll try the pill since I'm leary of implants and things have to put inserted by a doctor. Has anyone had experiences with the pill and the side effects?

The nuva ring is a great choice, it's low maintenance and I didn't experience any side effects.

I had the implanon for the full 3 years it was amazing and loved every minute of it. I have never been a big fan of the pill. I forget to take it  I also tried the nuva ring and hated it.  I was on it for 8 months and it reversed my periods and made me really crazy. I would bleed for 28 days and not for 7 then all over again the next month. I really think it all depends on you and how you react to things.

I was on depo for a year and a half and bled for a year and a half straight.  I had to rake extra estrogen and it didn't help. After my daughter was born I was on the nuvaring which I loved!  Used that for 2 1/2 years and when we decided to try again I was pregnant within 5 months of stopping use. I will definitely be going back on it. My periods were super light and I didn't have any other symptoms with it.

The pill was awesome for me! Never gained weight and it did its job. Got off of it because we wanted another baby and I was nervous it would take long but no! 2weeks and im pregnant.

I got pregnant on the pill, implanon made me bleed for 3 years, and I used depo for 10 years with no period. Weight gain fluctuates on all three. I got off implanon and took two depo shots. It took us 9 months to conceive.

I hated the pill. But if you're planning on breast feeding, they can give you a progesterone only pill (POP) and I loved that one! Bit you have to be breast feeding for it to work. Otherwise, I also really liked the nuvaring. And if it's long long term birth control you want, try an IUD I think those last 3,5, or 10 years and are super low maintenance.
