Blood flow to placenta

Hi there, I wondered if someone with a good knowledge of medicine/human biology could help me - this may sound like a very silly question but I don't know enough about biology to know for sure! I am 25 weeks pregnant with twins and accidentally fell asleep with a hair tie around my wrist. When I woke up, the hair tie was very tight and the skin underneath was red and purple and sore. My hand looked normal though, no pins and needles or anything. I am worried that this could have cut off blood supply to the babies and caused them brain damage or something - can you give me any information to help put my mind at rest? Thank you!

Blood flow in the blood  is called hemo dynamics, the  heart pumps blood to the upper and lower part of our body, the arteries   take blood to organs and the veins bring the blood back to the heart. So the same blood being pumped to your arm isn't   the same circulatory  blood that goes to the uterus. You would have to have a severe hemorrhage to lose blood supply  to the babies. If the hair band was too tight you could cause tissue damage to the hand but not likely. Hope my info was helpful, good luck and God bless

It's likely that the hair tie bruised your wrist a little. I've  had it happen before. When you slee, your body relaxes and sometimes your hands and that swell. So the hair tie might've not been very tight when you went to sleep, but feels tighter when you wake up. It might have affected the circulation to your hand/wrist, but I don't think it would've affected your babies in the way you are worried about. :)
