Depression

is it possible to have postpartum depression before the baby is even born?

Yes, I experienced it with my last pregnancy. I was agitated to the extreme and it got worse after my daughter was born. Definitely get help if you feel that way. There's nothing to be ashamed of.

Yes it is. I am reading it about it right now- the causes, prevention and how to overcome it. I don't suffer from it at the moment but I have suffered from it after the birth of my first baby girl because of the actual birth (I had a horrible c-section after a failed induction). The author of the book is Fiona Marshall and the name of the book is "coping with post-natal depression- a practical self book for women who suffer (overcoming common problems ).
