Drinking Water

Is it true that the sugar/sodium in stuff like Gatorade and Kool Aid makes it inferior to water? What about stuff like fruit juice?
I'm trying to up my water intake, but every time I drink it I feel like I'm breathing pool water into my nose (this is why I had a low intake to begin with). I've been this way since I was a teen so I usually drink water only when I'm severely thirsty or have dry mouth.
Do I need to cowboy up or can I take to something with flavor in it instead?

You need to be very careful with flavored waters and flavors you add to water. They are normally all aspartame and that is way way way worse for you. Hence why drinking diet pop and diet drinks are not good for you in general let alone pregnancy. I say suck it up, I hate water as well but I make myself chug 8glasses a day! That's only 250ml chug it... then drink something you like.

I live in Az it can't get to 124 degrees during the summer! So basically AZ= water drinkers! I love it, even crave it! But it has to be cold!  So ice is a must n some lemon makes it even better=)

You can try dunking a herbal tea bag in the water for a few seconds just to give it flavor.  Or make a big jug of warm water with a couple of bags in it, then chill in the fridge. Make sure you use non caffeinated ones :)

I HATE water. I never drink it and never have. Now that I'm pregnant I just suck it up cuz I know I have to. I put lemon in mine and make sure its ice cold. I'm drinking about 48oz a day right now an my doc said by the end I need to be drinking a gallon a day... how am I suppose to do that!?!? Good luck and just know you aren't alone.

I know that I like Ozarka water and Dasani. My favorite thing ever for bottled water is if they have a sucky top (I don't even know if there's a regular word for that lol).
I love apple juice, in my first pregnancy I had WIC and would buy the large cans of unsweeted apple juice just to pop then open and chug away. I haven't gotten WIC this time because I only eat a few things they provide for and I don't want to waste their checks.

Well if you dont find something, have you tried different water bottle brands? I also didnt drink a lot of water before being pregnant. I had to get used to it. I found I liked Dasani water. I hate the other brands. And at first I put the water bottles in the refrigerator to makeit more tolerable. Now I dont even think about it. I just drink water bc I know I have to and its good for my baby. And during meals at home I drink apple or orange juice. At restaurants I usually order cold water with a lemon slice inside.

I haven't tried any lime or lemon juice, to be honest I don't know what they taste like. I've had lemon and lime flavored stuff of course, but never the real fruits. I'll give it a try tonight.
I have tried Crystal Life before and I practically had a fit, it tasted horrible to me. I have tried Mio before as well (not that I'm saying it has any real value) and I also found it nasty. I would like to find something that's low sugar or sugar free, but I'm a picky woman lol so I'm always having to be on the hunt.

My doctor said juices are considered fluids so u dont just have to take water. Also that gatorades are okay. But he mostly recommends water. You should just be mindful of how much sugar you are consuming, especially since we have to drink so many fluids all day long. Definitely try to steer clear from sodas.

Yeah,  gatorade and koolaid are chock-full of sugar.

Have you tried squeezing lemon or lime into your water?
