First Dr. Appt
I have my first Dr. appointment in the morning. I am very nervous and scared. This appointment is to confirm the pregnancy. Can someone please tell me what to expect?
It depends on which country u r from. In UK doc does a wee test to confirm the pregnancy and just takes few details from u like date of last period, do u smoke or drink etc. Then we will refer u to see a midwife and sort out the prescription card. My first appt with doc was short and more just to start of the whole antenatal care by putting on the system that I'm pregnant.
I also had blood test and a u/s to see how far along i was... congrats!
They may also check to see if u have cervical cancer
They will test your urine to confirm. If positive most doctors will do a pelvic exam to make sure your cervix is closed & check your uterus size. They will want to know your last period start date & usually go over your medical history & previous pregnancies if you have any. Congrats.
