GD babies born healthy please help

So eveytime I go to the drs I'm crying. My sugars are having a hard time being controlled. My baby already measures big was "weighed" a little bigger. And all I hear is the bad news about c section and possible still born.I'm doing everything I'm asked to do yet sugars are high they keep changing the insulin from 2x a day to 4x a day I'm so over whlemed. I wanted a natural birth but they are scaring me with all the risks going natural and now want to do a amino test@ 36w to see if her lungs are ready to induce me I'm currently 32w. I just need sum positive vibes and stories from.moms who had healthy Gd babies. I'm terrified

I would say ofcourse its somethig serious but the doctors also exaggerate to scare u so u don't take the matter lightly. I too have gd and baby is measuring big and gonna induce me at 38, this is what I say, do what u have to do your baby will be fine. nd if ur baby comes a lil earlier then think of it as being able to hold ur lil baby sooner :) best of luck to u and u baby :)

Ive been type one since the very beginning of my first pregnancy. Was very frustrating ny sugars were 600+. Was so scary with all the research I did and all the complications that can happen with uncontrolled diabetes esp in the early wks. Every appt was scary until the dr relieved our worries that everything was fine. I was put on an insulin pump at 8 wks and have been on since 8 yrs later. U can still have a healthy as can be baby. I ended up with an emergency c section with first due to babies hr and my blood pressure. Not as bad as everyone makes them sound. Recovery is difficult but im glad my privates are all in tact and good. I am now preg with my second and have blood sugar struggles bc hormones are changing ,and body is not the same every single day. As baby gets bigger insulin needs change. Its not easy but as long as u know u are doing the best u can, there isnt much else that can be done. Definitely a roller coaster ride....best of luck!!!

When you say your sugars are high... how high are you talking?? Try not to beat yourself up...just check your blood sugar often and give an extra correction dose if your high. I am type 1 and am right tbere with you... been battling since the day we found out we were expecting.

Thank u. Makes me feel a little better knowing sumone understands. I almost fear like the Dr is beginning to use fear instead of facts. I am on a diet and 5shots of insulin a. Day and numbers still tend to run high. They afford a amino test in a2-3w I declined due to the risk they wanted to see if babies lung were matured for a difference in inducement from 36 or 37 weeks I don't want to risk my baby for a 1 week difference. Any c section mommas with advice for my fears?

((Hugs)) momma. Prayers for you n baby. I am going thru the same and its very emotionally let alone physically draining. As hard as it is (and I know it is) try to stay positive. Congrats on making it this far, know that even if baby has to come soon it's ok. My Dr's are planning for me to deliver around 36-37. I too want natural but Dr said that call won't be made till that week. As far as baby being stillborn its my understanding that's more towards if you go past 39wks. Good luck momma..
