HCG Slow Rising, Spotting, Fetal HB 120

Hi Im a mother of three, two daughters (10 & 3) and a son in heaven.

Back in January 2013 at 31wks I lost my son due to Severe Placenta Abruption and DIC and he was born still.

I am now 7wks 2days pregnant but my HCG levels are rising slowly (07/04/13 - HCG 181, 07/10/13 - HCG 1101, 07/12/13 - HCG 1845 & 07/21/13 - HCG 10621) and I have been spotting for a little over a week, started off brown and only in the evenings but now a dark red with small clots for last couple of days but no cramping.

Had an U/S done on 07/18/13 where baby and heartbeat were seen and again this morning where baby was seen and heartbeat was 120 BPM.

Guess my question is, is this blood left over from my son (only bled for about 12days after) or am I going to loose this baby also?

Thx, having a hard time coping, was sure it was what was happening but was holding onto hope that it was something else, cant believe that life can be so cruel.

It could be a subchorionic bleed. Which can be hard to detect by ultrasound. They can do a different type of u/s that follows the blood flow. The good news is a subchorionic is a complication that can lead to a successful birth. I had one with my second son. He's now 7.
