Havnt pooped in 4 weeks!

Help!! I'm in so much ungodly pain from not being able to pass a Bm in about four weeks!! Is there anything at all I can take!! I see a midwife so she just says "greens and water" but I feel after four weeks of excrement backing up down there, there's no way for those things to help me now. With my last pregnancy I had to have my bowels and intestines flushed but it was so painful and it stimulated contractions and I almost lost the baby. Can anyone please help??

Miralax WILL do the trick... I had the same issue and even had to go to the hospital. ..enemas, several suppositories, and Colace didn't work BUT the Dr recommended Miralax and I mixed it with cranberry juice....In no time it worked. I drink it every other day to make sure I don't have those issues anymore... good luck!

8oz of 100% apple juice twice a day until you go. It works for me every time.

Drink one tablespoon of olive oil. You should go in about 15 minutes.

I would call an actual doctor that's like a month of not going, thats alot of food not coming out. I think they would have to do some sort of excavating procedure. Or at least ask them about an enema.

Try dejuicing fruits and vegetables in a dejuicer and drink it once a day that will help with the constipation

The Fleet water enemas helped me a couple times. And I get severely constipated even when I'm not pregnant. Fiber only helped me a little. But I just discovered that mini wheats cereal does a nice job helping me along! Strange cuz I've tried everything. Colace and Miralax only helped me when I wasn't pregnant. Also if you're taking iron try taking ferrous gluconate instead of the typical ferrous sulfate. My nurse practitioner suggested this and it did miracles! It's hard to find, I got mine from a natural store that sells alot of herbs. But it's way better than regular iron

At this point NO MORE FIBER supplements its juat going to make it worse. I would try prub e juice with some miralax and see if it works if not I would be going to a Dr.  Because clearly your midwife does not have a remedy you should not go longer then a week with know movement. I am very surprised the midwife didnt have any other suggestions.

milk of magnesia, magnesium citrate, glycerin suppository, water enemas (no mineral oil), colace stool softener, prune juice, white grape juice...we're all suggested and ok'd by my doctor after two weeks without a bowel movement. I can't imagine the pain you're in! Also, it still took about five days for everything to work on me...did two enemas, three rounds of mag citrate, 500 mg of colace a day, milk of magnesia three times a day, and glycerin suppositories every day
