I don't understand how I can get heartburn when I haven't even ate anything yet! This happens to me a lot. Does it happen to any of you guys too? Thank god for tums though. Due February 2nd and can't wait to have my baby girl :)

I also have awful heartburn. Tums help sometimes.

Once baby drops out gets much better, though. I was taking tums daily but now only every few days. Yay.

Sadly it's just a side effect of pregnancy. My dr had to prescribe a medication for me bc over the counter stuff didnt work. Ask your dr. I used nexium and oh the sweet relief lol.   :) and my daughter had a ton of hair. Im prefnant

Because everything is more compacted from baby it's easier for your stomach acid to work it's way up...even if you haven't eaten anything. It's just a part of pregnancy.

My dr gave me a list of symptoms to look out for. It's heartburn that DOESN'T go away after taking tums or antacids, or anything like that. Also, right sided rib pain, and headache that doesn't go away.

I had it with my first and now my second too. Although it a not as bad yet. I even had it when I was in labor from eating the ice chips but for me it went away soon as the baby was out and I ate a whole arbys combo with no issue(I don't recommend doing that).

I have had horrible heartburn since my second trimester. I'm 36 weeks now. Every night no matter what I do it never fails. Zantac and milk are life savers! Also, I've never heard of heartburn being linked to preeclampsia.

I don't want to scare, or jump the gun, but heartburn that doesn't get better with tums or anything like that, is a sign of preeclampsia.
