Heavy bleeding

I'm 7 wks according to lmp. I've been bleeding heavy for 2 days. Went to the ER an ultrasound was performed. The sac was located but no yolksac or fetal pole. This ultrasound says I'm 5 wks and the HCG levels says the same. Could this be a miscarriage? Has this ever happended to anyone?

Don't be discouraged yet. I'm 7 weeks now. At 5 weeks I was bleeding bad and horriable cramps hormone levels platoed(didn't rise)  and only had a sac no baby even on a real good vaginal ultrasound machine.  They said it was a miscarriage.  Went in last wend for a d&c and a last second ultrasound found a 6 week fetus and a heart beat of 159. Give it time and wait before u do d&c or get to worried. I'm still bleeding off and on with cramps they don't know why I have had 2 more ultrasounds still showing a baby with a good heart beat. Best of luck to u. I will pray.

With heavy bleeding and measuring smaller,  it sounds like a miscarriage.  Sorry sweetie:(
