I'm getting sick, can I take anything?

I've been waking up with a runny nose and a sore throat... which means is about to get bad. Can I take anything to prevent it getting bad?

Also take emergen-c  u know the packets u mix with water that should help too :-)

The only thing when I have a cold that works is the Alka-Seltzer Plus. I have researched, you can take it while pregnant BUT with research do not over three days. I was just recently sick, nothing was working. I took that, and by the third day I was better. There is one thing in there that we really shouldn't have(I can't remember right now what it is) but I took it when I was pregnant with my first, before I knew I was pregnant. There was no complications due to taking it. I know it's not on the list but it works for me.

The list that my doctor gave me that is approved

Pain/fever- Tylenol (Acetaminophen)

Cough/Cold-Robitussin (long acting gel or syrup) (Dextromethorphan)
Sudafed (plain) (pseudoephedrine)
Plain cough drops
Saline drops (ocean nasal spray)
Vick's vapor rub
Mucinex (Guaifenesin)
Allergies- Benadryl (Diphenhydramine)
Claritin (Loratadine)
Zyrtec (Centrizine)

Diarrhea- Immodium AD

And there are more things if you are interested for cold sores, heartburn, hemorrhoids, constipation, sleep aid, yeast, and bug spray

After 12weeks you can take plain sudafed decongestant as needed as directions say on the box. Tylenol cold and sinus can also be taken after 12 weeks. Plain regular strength tylenol can be taken at any point in pregnancy .

Ugh my nose is stopped up & on top of that my allergies are acting a nut.Itchy throat, sensitive to heat,eyes are running. Im 23w4d
