Long Trip at 33 Wks..

I will be participating in a 16 hour car ride in late Dec. My partner will be alternating with me and we will be stopping frequently to stretch and use the restroom. I will be 33 weeks pregnant at the time of the trip.. If my OB gives the baby a clean bill of health, is this okay to do?

I did that around 31 weeks, had to pee a lot but it gives you a chance to walk around a stretch a little. Make sure you keep up with your water intake (hard to remember on road trips sometimes). I would also highly recommend some knee high compression stockings to help with any swelling and reduce risk of blood clots, you can get them at Walmart or Walgreen's or any drugstore.

Have a good trip!!

I'll be doing the same :-) Except 24 hrs! It's going to be very uncomfortable (more than you think), I know this because I did it a few months ago at just 14 wks & it was already miserable. I've driven across country about 8 or 9 times & it's never felt as cramped as it does with the babes! Can't imagine what it will be like at 33 for us!! Lots of stops will help hopefully!
