Low HCG levels early pregnancy

Want to know if there is any chance of a normal preg? Im on IVF treatment. 17 days post ovul HCG reading was 33. 19 dpo went up to 66. Had a blood this morn. (21 dpo) I get results this arvo (Sydney time). Nurses say that it is highly unlikely this will result in normal preg and its most probably ectopic.  Is there any chance at all?  If the HCG doubles again this arvo?  I am booked in for another blood and scan next week. I did have one light period day and a few days of spotting. I have morning sickness and sore breasts. This is my 5th IVF attempt. Any advice appreciated.

If your hcg were 140 this Wednesday and 3 days later they are 540 no bleeding  no spotting  is that mean r going to have a baby

Hi had a 5day transfer. 9 days post 5day transfer hcg was 37.98 and 11 days post was 39.47 yesterday.  Worried its a chemical pregnancy.  My doctor said to takr 1 more test after 48 hours. Anyone had a simikar experience and still pregnant

Alright ladies so i am pretty sure i am going through a similar struggle. My last period was 12/28/14 so i am currently about 3 weeks late for my period. doctor is telling me i am only 2-3 weeks based on my HCG levels. Which makes no sense to me as to why my period never came? anyways, my HCG came back at 154 which is normal for being 2-3 weeks but if i really am at 6 weeks according to my cycle that is extremely low. doctor said maybe i ovulated late or something? i'm just not sure what to think right now and i am terrified of it being ectopic because i had a still birth full labor about 6 months ago. what do you ladies think??

I found out i am pregant three days ago. Doctors say i am 4-5 weeks pregnant, with a hcg level of 82. They say theres a possibility that ill have an ectopic pregnancy, but baby is to small to tell right now. I'm originally from wy and i moved to ca with no money,, and no ca insurance. No doctor will accept me. please help how do i handle this and is my hcg level ok?

To answer the question having a normal pregnancy after having an ectopic pregnancy. I experienced an ectopic pregnancy back in 09, but I never knew I was pregnant. When I arrived to the hospital, the doctors saw a fetus in my left tube. I was internally bleeding, and the tube had ruptured. It had to be removed along with the attached fetus. I had emergency surgery.... I was told that it would be unlikely for me to conceive again. In 09, a gave birth to my beautiful daughter, and 4 months later I found out I was pregnant again. My Handsome son was born in 2011. Shortly after giving birth I had the Paragard IUD inserted. One month ago I found out I was pregnant again, but We cannot locate the baby, and my HCG levels are slightly going up. The doctors removed the IUD 2 weeks ago, and I have been lightly bleeding since then. THe doctors believe I am having another ectopic pregnancy. I am beginning to show the signs, and symptoms. Allow God to guide you in the loss you may, or may not be experiencing. I refused to allow them to "treat" my pregnancy. I have 3 children already, so I am going to put my situation in Gods hands because I know he will protect me.

Well I am knew to all this, it has  been 10 years since I had my last child. I never remember  it being so stressful. After my third  child I had  a tubal done. I was sterile for 10 years. I divorced  and got remarried. My current husband never having children, we decided to get my tubes reversed  and try for a baby. 6 months after my surgery I took a HPT and it showed positive. A urine/blood test at the doctors office also confirmed this. I had an HCG  level done and 17dpo and it was 154. I have no idea  if this is normal or low. Who knows. I am not scheduled to have any more blood work done, but go  in for an ultrasound in a week to see if this is a normal pregnancy or ectopic. I was advised it may possibly be ectopic because of 3 prio C-sections, a tubal and then a reversal. UGH...so discouraged!!! the waiting part it the worst!!

I am so sorry everyone is going through these tough times. I also am going through a tough time. I have 3 beautiful children and miscarried on Jan 08 2012. I have been going to the doctor weekly to get my hcg levels checked. When I went to the ER and he  said I had a threatened miscarriage I was 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My levels were 41...Last week I had my levels checked and they are 106...If I miscarried, why are they rising instead of dropping? I had a lot of blood like a heavy period and passing clots. But that stopped and still my hcg levels are rising. I go tomorrow for a checkup with the doctor so hopefully I find out some answers, this waiting is stressing me out! Its all I think about. Is there anyone that has experienced this before??? Thanks

I am currently 6 weeks pregnant with my first. At 4 week n 5 days it registered on a home test and in the drs office. But less than a week latter I started spotting but usually only after I went to the bathroom ... I went to the er the same day and they said my hcg level was low. The very next day I went to the Dr and my hcg level was 13 ... however when I spotted I never cramped or had any pain. It only lasted about 3 days... I don't understand what's going on. Any help or advice ladies?!

I guess it looks like we're in about the same boat. I just took a pregnancy test yesterday morning, and it was positive. I was able to make a dr's appt. for just a few hours later & their urine test came back negative, so they did a blood test. Just got the call that it was what they called "low" positive with a 30 hcg reading. I'm not very hopeful as I've had 3 ectopics over the last 5 years. I also haven't had any bleeding yet but have had occasional cramping. Even though I've been through this before, the waiting game is just as stressful & emotional. I wish you the best of luck & wonder if you would keep me updated. I'll do the same. I think it would be helpful to have someone who's going through this to share with. Thanks. hkh2011

I have had 2 miscarriages one 6/2010 and the other 10/2010 and now i am preg again, my hcg is really low, i went to dr today and my hcg level is only 14, i have no bleeding but a little cramping. I am praying for a healthy pregnancy. i am about 12 dpo. please pray and i do pray that all goes well for everyone. I am 28 with no kids and pray to have one asap.

I have an ivf pregnancy, on the day 14 after my embryo transfer i had an hcg test it was 35, 72 hours later i did another one the result was 74, today and after another 72 hours i had another one and the result is 107. The doctor asked for another test . I just want to know if this is normal or is there anything wrong with my pregnancy

I need some good news from people. I am on my 3rd cycle of IVF. The first resulted in an early miscarriage as my HCG number went from 95 on day one of testing to 55 on day 3. The second resulted in no pregnancy even though all the numbers were perfect. I am now on cycle 3 and it looked like everything was perfect! However, when I went for my pregnancy test yesterday my HCG number was only at 24. The doctor wants me to come in on Wed to find out if it has doubled. Does anyone have a positive thought about this? I am dying inside here!

I am in the same boat. This is my 5th Pregnancy. My 1st was Ectopic and the other 3 were miscarriages. At 16 DPO my HCG was 38, at 18 DPO my HCG was 55, They are thinking this is another Ectopic. I hope not...The Ectopic was worse than the miscarriages. I go for more bloodwork this Monday. Sending prayers your way. Let me know what happens.

I had IVF done and Im 11dpt. I have an appointment with my doc 2mrw but couldnt wait and had a blood test today. Results- HCG 0.097
From reading all your posts, Im pretty sure Im not pregnant.
Have any of you had such low HCG levels and still managed to have a live birth ?

My LMP was 9/7/10. Last weekend, a HPT indicated that my husband and I are preganant. This week, I had 2 blood tests (17 dpo hcg = 30, 19 dpo hcg = 40). I have no cramping or bleeding, so today i had another blood test. I pray that the number is in the 100s.  This is our first pregnancy...and I am a nervous wreck.

Thank you Nicole! Your post is encouraging!  My husband and I found out we were pregnant on Sept. 10th but with hcg levels of only 12.  2 days later they were 33, 2 days later 121.  3 days later though, they were 118 and our Dr. is concerned about the low hgc levels and possibility of an ectopic pregnancy.  I went back today and the levels are now 203, still low in her opinion.  I've been on progesterone supplements since the day we found out and am concerned that this is what is prolonging what my Dr. seems to think is an inevitable miscarriage. I still have a glimer of hope and do not want to give up, but am afraid of what is to come.  Your post however, is encouraging and I will try to stay positive.   Thanks again!

Hey ladies, just wanted to let you know that I have had two perfect babies despite extremely low hcg levels. Was told during my second pregnancy, during which I was getting negative pregnancy test results till almost 12 weeks, that this meant there was a problem with my baby. There was no problem at all!
We are all different, a rule for one is not always a rule for all. I wish you all the best  x Nicole

i did a home pregnancy test 2 weeks ago that came up negative, then one a few days later that came up positive.  Went to the doctors on Monday and my HCG levels were 25.  I am going back on thursday, so fingers crossed ......... I really hope I don't miscarry  :(

I am going through the same thing right now!  Did you miscarry or are you doing better now? This is my second pregnancy and I'm scared b/c I had such an easy time w/ my daughter.  My hcg is only at 44  at 6 weeks.  I had the brown discharge and stringy stuff too...
