Military mommas?

Any mommas or mommas to be military. My husband is in the army and is scheduled to leave on a year long deployment about 6 weeks after my due date. I know I am lucky he is going to be here for the Birth of our second child, but I am nervous about being a "single" mom with two children under the age of two and I am planning on returning to work around 8 weeks post partum. Wondering if any mothers out there have any words of wisdom, advice, or helpful tips.

I just got married to my marine and he's been in the filed most of my pregnancy. He will actually miss my ultersound in 3 weeks and I have no way in contacting him and telling him about the appointment it ***** but we women are strong to handle anything. Keep your head up and remember they would want to be here as much as we want them to

Thanks!  He will be away for the month before I am due (returning the week of my due date, December 1) for a military course wlc. I have already told him that the first thing we must get set up is internet so I am send him as much as possible whether pictures or videos. He has already told me that he is sad he will be missing a lot of this babies first times. He had just returned from a 3 week course and was visibly upset when our 16 month daughter didn't want him the very first night he returned. He said that it would be worse with the new baby because she won't know him at all.

I don't have much in the way of advice because honestly, it's hard. My (now ex) husband was deployed for 15 months when our daughter was 2 weeks old. On top of that he was at ntc the whole 9th month of my pregnancy. So, when he was deployed I had a 3yr old and 2 week old. After a month I moved back home (a few states away) so I would at least have some family around. Now that I'm typing all this I guess the only advice I do have is to take a lot of video. Even though they are babies and don't do a whole lot, video it and send it to him. I happened to catch our daughter standing for the first time on video because I just had the computer open and recording.
Anyways, keep your head up, keep busy, and you will get through it. It won't always be easy, but just try and focus on you and baby until he gets back. Good luck Hun!
