PLEASE HELP WITHOUT JUDGEMENT

I will be 38 weeks pregnant on friday, for the length of my pregnancy I have taken norcos on and off for chronic headaches, my dr doesnt know and i do not have a script for them, my dr has had me on tylenol3 and fiorcet but when these didnt work i would take the norco. I havent taken them in about a week.i am not physically addicted and have not suffered any withdrawl (withdrawal) symptoms. I dont know what to do should i tell my dr (i have an appt tomorrow) I have no one to turn to and im freaking out that my child and my 3 year old could be taken from me? does anyone know the laws in mi? I have medicaid insurance. PLEASE HELP!!

I'm not sure what norco is. But do tell your doctor that way he is prepared to care for the baby. As far as your kids being taken away, I don't know. I wish I did. I too suffer from horrible headaches and would give anything to pop a motrin 800 when I need to. I've seen shows on tv where the mom would use drugs for pain and baby came out addicted and they had to give the baby morphine to help with pain from withdrawls, but mama didn't loose her baby. But please let your doctor know.

How much and how often have you taken this? And what is it?

You need to tell your dr just in case.  Good luck :)

Tell ur doc. But if u have not taken them but on occasion your babe should be fine the doctors will give u narcotics sometimes cause they tried to give me some with my first but I refused treatment.

What I was told is that it slows your babies heart rate ans taken too often could cause some growth be delayed. I took one dosage at the er at about 7 wks. Just make sure your Dr. Knows so that they can ne prepared I'd anything should come up during delivery or if they can so anything to help before. Good luck.

Doctor/patient confidentiality!  Your doc can't say anything without your permission with the exception of evidential physical abuse to a minor (which is not the case with you)! So yes, tell your doc!
