I am not re-homeing her she is just irritating mi e,and i am not cruel and neither is it cruel that i feel i want to protect my baby!cats naturally want to sleep in warm cosy places and i have already caught her in it and my baby is not even born!so naturally i am concerned.I have always had a cat,i think it is because she is only 2years old,Hopefully after the baby is born she wont be so irritating, she keeps scratching alot and meowing so maybe she can sense it?
It's just your hormones getting in the way. I have a cat as well. He is 12. Had him since he was a kitten. He is more attached to me than ever before...due to the hormones. That's natural for pets. They want to protect you. It gets annoying sometimes...I understand. Mine uses to sleep at the foot of my bes, but since becoming pregnant, I toss n turn too much so he is left outside the bedroom. Makes the husband happy cuz he never likes cat in the bedroom. You may find that your cat will protect baby just like you do. So don't make rash decisions based on hormones right now. There is a YouTube video i saw recently on Facebook that shows a cat soothing a crying baby. It was really sweet. Might want to try n find it...might help you with your fears.
They say a cat knows when its time for labor.
thats mean, sorry but it is. I adopted a cat back in january shortly before my pregnancy was confirmed, I love her like she is my baby.
