They going to put a IV in your arm and they going to gave you medicine I forgot the name of it but it going to start your contractions and then they going to break your water no it don't hurt when they do that then after that it just waiting until the baby start coming nothing to be scare about.

My first was an induction.  I  went into  the hospital the night before. The doctors  gave me a medicine called cervadill. It looked like a tampon with hooks on the end, a little pinch and it was over. My contractions started  that night. But they weren't that strong. The next morning the docs came in and hung a IV drip of Pictocin. And thats when things started to happen quickly. The pain and contractions increased by a thousand times. Once i hit transition there was NO breaks in contractions. It all happened quickly for me. My doc hung pitocin at 10am and my son was born at 3pm. Overall i would do it again. I am 5 days overdue with my second and hoping my doc offers induction again.  Congrats and good luck with your first baby :)

They can do a few different things. When I was induced I was given pitocin to speed up contractions and they broke my water. They can put cervadil which softens your cervix, Etc
