Pregnancy acne!

Hey current and future mommies!!! So I have never really had acne before (just a couple pimples here and there) but as soon as I got pregnant, it's as if my body decided to become a teenage boy! I'm full of acne on my face, down my neck and even on my back! I feel horrible and disgusting! It's like my face chemistry has changed it feels tougher, oily and out of no where my pores are huge!!! Help! I'm 8 weeks pregnant, does this ever go away and when?!? Also, anybody have any advice for how to maintain my face, neck and back in the mean time? I've been trying sensitive skin seabreeze but it's not working at all, washing my face twice a day, moisturizing! Nothing works! Any product or at home remedies would be great!!!! Thank you ladies!

Defently tea tree oil it will dry the area out try not touching your pimples to if you do wash your hands straight away, as that can cause it to spread! Cut a lemon in half and run ovet your face the acicidy in it will help remove blackheads and the puffyness also. Good luck

I have heard of raw honey working well also.  My acne came after giving birth and only going on a contraceptive pill for skin worked

I use coconut oil on my face (I have oily skin). In three days I was completely clear. Now as long as I keep it up I'm good

Hey,

Washing your face morning and night is a great start but I would also make sure your exfoliating 2-3 times a week, with a scrub or something. This will help get rid of excess skin cells that stick together and cause breakouts. Maybe at night try putting lavender oil or tea tree on the break out areas. Also you probably don't need to moisturize because if you are having break outs it could cause them to be worse or maybe try to cut back to only a couple times a week. It is hormonal though and your skin will go back to normal after. It should get slightly better by week 20 :) oh yes remember to change your pillow cases too.

Treating acne during pregnancy can be a little tricky. It is considered best to avoid chemical treatment at this stage. There are a couple of home remedies that you could follow.
1. Drink lots of water, keep you'd body hydrated and cool
2. Drink fresh tender coconut water if available
3. Apply lemon juice on your acne. It has been tried and tested.

All the best on your pregnancy ! :-)
