I take a generic one from target, it has a prenatal tablet and dha capsule, two pills stinks but worth it.
Just make sure you don't take gummy ones, gummy vitamins don't have iron, you really shouldn't give them to kids either because they need the iron too
Sorry for the multiple posts. I kept getting an error message!
I researched, nature made has a gel cap with dha. Gel caps have less fillers and dissolve quickest so you will absorb them quicker. I also take an extra 400 mcg of folic acid to equal the amount that in the prescribed kind. These have never made me sick. The tablets your can taste the vitamins I don't taste anything with these. I recommend highly recommend them. They are inexpensive too. My doc said they are perfect. I trust everything that man says. He's a great doc. As long as you are getting enough of folic acid, calcium and dha you should be fine though.

Thank you so much ladies! :)
I like the women's one a day prenatal with the dha. My last pregnancy I started with those and did well then I switched to the cheapest ones and my iron went low. So I went back to the women's one a day and didn't have anymore problems with my iron.
I think they all contain the same stuff except some have more of something you may need. Such as iron, a still softener, calcium. If you know your body real well you can know what youll need more of. And my morning sickness lasted three weeks and every prenatal vitamin i took made me sick, to this day I still will throw up a little bit sometimes when I take one but it depends.
I've been taking the similac brand my whole pregnancy, I don't k ow if it has anything to do with the vitamins or not, but I'm 29 weeks this Thursday, and so far my pregnancy has been a breeze, I feel great, had no morning sickness, and had no problem.s with any of my blood tests.
I looked it up online what to look for in a prenatal vitamin. Mayo clinic had good info on what vitamins and how much. I found the one that was closest. It was the similac brand. Also I haven't had any morning sickness.
I spoke with a pharmasist and they said whether prescribed or over the counter they all contain the same things. Some just have less fillers. I'm taking a regular multivitamin for women and a 1000 units of folic acid. Plus a extra vitamin C a day. I haven't suffered from morning sickness either which they say can be a major redsult from prenatal vitamins
Good luck :-)
I was told to get OTC ones
The ones prescribed by your doctor
