Prenatal vitamins

What kind of prenatal vitamins do you use...over the counter or prescribed? Right now I'm taking Prenaplus which is prescribed by my doctor but this vitamin makes me very sick....a couple of minutes after I take it, I start with a very bad heartburn and then comes the nausea and the vomiting.  That happens no matter if I eat before AND after I take the pill.

I take none! all I take is folic acid daily. As far as I'm concerned prenaltals are just another way for pharmaceutical companies to get your money. Most of them do more harm than good, constipation, nausea, vomiting. With that being said if you choose not to take one you have to commit 100% to eating a healthy diet. I'm not against them at all its just my choice, all I'm saying is don't make your self sick over something that remember is just "supplemented vitamins and minerals"

I take the gummy CVS ones! I love sour patch kids, so they're basically like eating candy! They haven't made me feel bad at all.

I take gummy prenatal vitamins as well.  Mine are VitaCrave.  They don't have iron, so they are easier on your stomach, but you have to make sure you are getting iron from other sources.  They also don't have calcium, which you need more of when pregnant, so I make it a point to get more calcium throughout the day.  You should ask your doctor if she minds if you switch.
