Preparing the nursery

Hey all you mommies to be, when did you (or plan to) start working on your nursery? I'm 24 weeks 5 days, and due to health issues my hubby and I have waited until recently to even get an idea of what we want in a nursery. Also, what items are essential to have? I know crib, changing table, rocking chair, dresser, and a diaper genie are basic, but I feel I'm forgetting some things. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated! Thanks! :)

I've just started Prepping at 21 weeks.  Little things so far like cleaning out the closet, getting new blinds,  etc.  Just going to do small bits at a time so I'm not overwhelmed :)

Awesome! Thanks for that, I do have a great lamp  and shelf that would be perfect for just that. :) Our house is pretty small, and the baby's room literally shares a wall with our room so nighttime feedings should be workable. Thanks again!

End table or nightstand by the rocker and a nightlight would be the other important things
You have time, you might not use the crib for a few months. I hear it is much easier to have the baby sleep near your bed at first, easier for night time feedings. But i guess the crib would then just be for naps.
