Smoking

Hey, I am pregnant with my second child and I have quit smoking but I am having a hard time with these cravings. I immediately quit the first time I was pregnant but with this pregnancy it is so much harder. Any moms have any suggestions on how to keep the cravings away....HELP!!!!

the electronic cigarettes help with cravings and even my dr said it is safer for the baby than the real ones

Their is really nothing that I know that has that calming effect you talk about. It's just really about having a strong mind and dealing with it if you really want to quit... People suggest going for walks when cravings begin but I say strong mind.

Thanks for the suggestions. I can not imagine my baby choking on smoke because I can't put down a disgusting habit. However I must say smoking was my stress reliever...I need something that can have the same calming affects just not the bad health effects :)

Ive been smoking for over 15 years...this is my 1st pregnancy, and honestly, just the thought of my baby not being able to get enough oxygen or blood flow from me is enough to have me quit. I quit cold turkey. This child should not suffer because of my selfish digusting habit. Thats what worked for me. Good luck to ya!

Gum or maybe an electric cigarette, you can talk it over with your doctor. My cousin smoked w both of her pregnancies, I don't suggest you do that, but talk to your doctor, best of luck Hun. I'm sure cravings will always be there

Cravings will happen... Just try chewing un gum, chop up fruits and veggies so you can snack on those when the cravings come and drink plenty of water to clear your system soon.... You can do this!
